WCMSSM Alliance Report to
the Executive Council
The Alliance met
November 12th at the Interim House for a luncheon meeting.
Members donated and delivered three fully packed vans and many car loads
of food, clothing, baby cribs, car seats, bed sheets, cleaning items and
toys. Little booklets “Hands are not for Hitting” and “You Don’t Have
to be Bullied” were also distributed.
Mrs. Helen Ermete
and Norma Henderson delivered turkey and trimmings to the Women and
Children on Thanksgiving Day. For the Christmas holidays they wrapped
40 gifts for the children and another 50 presents for the women.
We also donated
those little booklets “Hands are not for Hitting” and “You Don’t Have to
be Bullied” for the WCMS Christmas party to be distributed in the gift
bags for the children.
Alliance, past
President Mrs. Alice Haidostian provided the piano entertainment for
Nell Rhoades’ 100th birthday party.
Since we are a
small group, our main focus is to assist the YMCA Interim House. If you
have any items that these women and children can use please call us, so
we can put them to good use during these hard economic times.
Our next meeting
will be in March.
