Beaumont Lectureship
An annual lectureship series advancing medical knowledge and professional development for Wayne County phsicians.
About the Beaumont Lectureship
The Beaumont Lecture of the Wayne County Medical Society of Southeast Michigan is given in honor of William Beaumont, MD (1785-1853), whom fate presented with a remarkable opportunity to add to our knowledge of the physiology of digestion. The lectures have been presented annually since 1922, and we recently celebrated the 100th anniversary of this annual event.
